FAKRO Window Codes Guide

FAKRO roof windows are categorised according to several factors. These include their opening style, the material they are constructed of and the glazing options for each. The window’s identification label can be found in the top right corner of the sash. It contains everything you need for product identification, including model, dimensions and production code. In this guide, we provide a breakdown of the FAKRO roof window codes and the products to which they refer.

FAKRO Pitched Roof Windows

FAKRO centre pivot windows are available in four internal style finishes with an elegant handle at the bottom for ease of operation and are suitable for installation in roof pitches from 15 - 90°. All of these roof windows are manufactured with a V40P air inlet which, by automatic adjustment of the flow channel size, provides an optimum amount of air into the room.

For electric opening variations of these windows, look for Z-Wave. Electric opening centre pivot roof windows from FAKRO offer the same benefits as the manual windows and are equipped with factory-fitted equipment to enable them to remotely open, close and control accessories via the remote control. They also feature a rain sensor that automatically closes the sash during the rain.

Conservation roof windows are designed to meet planning requirements in conservation areas, or for the development of historic buildings. The black vertical mullion bar down the middle of the window and the black cladding make these windows suitable for traditional construction. Conservation roof windows are manufactured in P2 (as standard) and P5 glazing options.

Two of the conservation options (the FTP and FTW) come complete as a kit with flashing and insulation collars. There are two choices when selecting a kit: ‘V’ and ‘J’. These indicate varying levels at which the roof window can be installed within the roof structure. For example, when choosing a flashing to lift the window by 3cm from the standard ‘V’ level, the N variations will be suitable. On the other hand, ‘V’ is a standard installation level whereas ‘J’ is recessed – 3cm below the ‘N’ level.

FAKRO flat roof windows offer a perfect combination of style, sustainability, security and long design life. Their stylish appearance is matched by the highest standard of manufacturing and finishing which means you can rest assured they will go on looking good for years to come.

Flat Roof Window Type F

The type F flat roof window features a sleek modern look, characterised by excellent thermal insulation parameters. The structure of the frame is the same as for flat roof windows with a dome; however the main difference lies in the glazing unit which is bonded using modern manufacturing technologies to produce a highly aesthetic and innovative design.

  • Equipped with an energy-efficient, triple DU6 glazing unit
  • External glass 6mm thick is toughened
  • Internal glass is laminated and anti-burglary P2A class
  • Suitable for roof pitches between 2 - 15°
  • DMF - Manually opened with ZSD rod
  • DEF - Electrically opened with wireless Z-Wave system
  • DXF - Non-opening (fixed)

Flat Roof Window Type C

The type C flat roof window is equipped with a double glazed unit with laminated internal glass which is anti-burglary P2A class as standard. The dome is made of durable polycarbonate and is characterised by high resistance to impact and adverse weather conditions such as rain or hail. Special coatings on the outer and inner surface of the dome protect it against UV radiation.

  • Double glazed unit with laminated internal glass
  • Anti-burglary P2A class as standard
  • Suitable for roof pitches between 0 - 15°
  • Durable polycarbonate dome
  • DMC - Manually opened with ZSD rod
